Solano Co. Jury Returns Guilty Verdict In 2013 Shooting Death
BREAKING: The 27-year-old victim was shot nine times when he resisted being robbed in a Vallejo parking lot.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A Solano County Superior Court jury on Friday convicted a Sacramento man of a first-degree murder nearly three years ago.
Anthony Dodson Jr., 35, shot Frank Gore Jr. 27, of Vallejo during an attempted robbery in the rear parking lot of House of Soul Recordings at 777 Tuolumne St. around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2013.
Gore's murder was the 24th homicide in 2013 and the fourth in six days at the time, Vallejo police said.

Dodson approached Gore from behind and pointed a firearm at him, according to the Solano County District Attorney's Office. When Gore resisted the attempted robbery, Dodson shot him nine times, the District Attorney's Office said.
The jury also found true an allegation Dodson personally discharged a firearm resulting in death.

Dodson is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 20.
