Solano Co. Pair Killed in Crash on Highway 12
A Ford Thunderbird was traveling east on Highway 12 east of Highway 113 in Rio Vista around 1:15 p.m. Friday when it spun out of control.

The Solano County coroner’s office has identified the second man who died in a vehicle crash on state Highway 12 near state Highway 113 Thursday as 69-year-old Charles Owen of Rio Vista.
A Ford Thunderbird was traveling east on Highway 12 east of Highway 113 in Rio Vista around 1:15 p.m. Friday when it spun out of control and went into the westbound lane, CHP Officer David Harvey said.
The front of a westbound Chrysler Pacifica SUV struck the passenger side of the Thunderbird, Harvey said.

The driver of the Thunderbird, Michael Dunn, 75, of Rio Vista, was taken to the NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, where he died at 2:35 p.m., the Solano County coroner’s office said.
Owen, the Chrysler’s driver, was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center where he died at 3:10 p.m., the coroner’s office said.

A female passenger in the Chrysler, Arzenne Cary-Owen, 69, of Rio Vista, suffered major injuries and was taken to the NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, Harvey said.
The collision happened during a moderate rain downpour, Harvey said.
The eastbound lane of Highway 12 was closed until 3:18 p.m., and the westbound lane was shut down intermittently during the crash investigation, Harvey said.
