Solano Community College (SCC) Educational Foundation has selected 10 alumni to be honored at the SCC 70th Anniversary Benefit Gala tonight at the SCC Vacaville Center, at 2001 North Village Parkway, Vacaville.

At the Gala, Jim Syar is to receive special recognition as Alumni of the Year for 2015. The Distinguished Alumni program was establish in 2014 to recognize community, business, education, and government leaders who attended Solano Community College.
Curt Johnston, Executive Director of the SCC Educational Foundation, stated “SCC alumni have gone on to achieve great things. We wanted to recognize the significant contributions of SCC Alumni in the community. We started the Distinguished Alumni program last year, and it truly is an impressive list of individuals.”
