Solano County Homeless Outreach: Agencies Partner To 'Improve Lives'
"Serving every member of this community is important to us," said Solano County Sheriff Thomas Ferrara.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- More than 100 of Solano County’s homeless were contacted this week when the Solano County Sheriff’s Office hosted a three-day, multi-agency homeless outreach and resource assistance effort in parts of Vallejo and Fairfield, officials said.
Advocates and volunteers from local shelters and health, social, veterans’ and mental health services participated, speaking directly to members of the homeless community. In total, outreach team members spoke with 109 homeless persons; of those contacted, 65 people accepted assistance to improve their quality of life, the sheriff’s office reported.
Mission Solano provided food, water, hygiene supplies and shoes to those in need. They also accepted 10 people into their residential placement programs, sheriff’s officials said.
