Solano County Inmate's Death Appears To Be Hanging
But officials are awaiting toxicology tests.

A Solano County jail inmate appears to have hanged himself in his cell last week but the cause and manner of his death are pending toxicology tests, a Solano County sheriff’s spokesman said.
Frank Munafo, 47, of Vallejo, was arrested by Vallejo police on June 1 on suspicion of elder abuse and terrorist threats, sheriff’s Deputy Jackson Harris said.
Munafo was last seen alive by jail staff during a head count at 8:07 a.m. on June 4, but when a nurse went to his cell at 8:20 a.m. for a health check, she found Munafo hanging from a bed sheet, Harris said.

Manufo was alone in his cell, Harris said. The Napa County coroner’s office conducted an autopsy on June 8, and the cause and manner of death are pending toxicology tests, Harris said this afternoon.
