Solano County Motorcyclist Dies After Collision With Vehicle In Napa County

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A Fairfield man died after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle near Lake Berryessa Sunday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.

Kristoffer K. Gelsthorpe, 31, was driving a 2000 Aprilia RSV 60 Bicilindrico west on state Highway 128 east of Berryessa Knoxville Road near Turtle Rock around 12:20 p.m. on April 23 when he crossed the double yellow lines into the eastbound lane, the CHP said.

The motorcycle collided with a 2008 Honda Ridgeline driven by a Napa resident, the CHP said. Gelsthorpe was taken to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center where he died in the trauma unit, according to CHP Officer Marc Renspurger.
