Solano County Supes Appoint Krishna Abrams District Attorney
District Attorney Donald du Bain is resigning at 5 p.m. Friday.

The Solano County Board of Supervisors today appointed Krishna Abrams Solano County District Attorney.
The vote was 3-0, a board of supervisors clerk said this afternoon. Abrams will replace District Attorney Donald du Bain who is resigning at 5 p.m. Friday to accept a job with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office beginning Monday.
Abrams was to begin her duties as District Attorney on Jan. 5.

Abrams defeated du Bain for district attorney in the June 3 election by a vote of 51 percent to 48 percent. Abrams, with 18 years of experience as a prosecutor, received her law degree from the University of the Pacific. She was named the Solano County “Prosecutor of the Year” in 2012.
Du Bain received his law degree from the University of California’s Hastings College. He started his career at the Solano County District Attorney’s Office in 1993 and served as Deputy District Attorney for 17 years.
