Solano Youth Coalition Accepting Applications for New Members

Deadline for students to apply is Sept. 14.

The Solano Youth Coalition (SYC) advocates for safe and healthy choices in their communities through awareness, open conversations, participation, and collaboration among a new generation of advocates.

SYC is now accepting applications from high school youth residing in Solano County. Students interested in joining must submit an online application at http://tiny.cc/SYC2015no later than Monday, September 14, 2015 at 5:00 PM.

SYC strives to build positive and healthy youth-adult partnerships to engage youth as active leaders and resources in their communities. Projects are supported by trained adult allies, and activities focus on promoting and encouraging the participation of young people in the development of policy, programs, and services in their communities.

Youth work on projects that focus on health and safety topics including alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, bullying, mental health and more.
