The Benicia Stingrays swim team journeyed across the Benicia Bridge last weekend to compete in the Twin County Swim League Championship Meet at Diablo Valley College. The Stingrays took third place in the team competition with a score of 2162.5.
There were a number of standout performances by Benicia swimmers. Jessica Larson (9-10 girls) won high point for her age group and Julia Lindemuth (9-10 girls) came in second overall in the age group.
Stingrays coach Kevin Raab noted that Natalie Lisenko won 7-8 girls high point and Alyssa Lisenko won 11-12 girls high point.

Other individual efforts included Kaitlyn Sinclair (15-18 girls) breaking her age division team record 1:17.95 and placing first in the 100 meter breaststroke; Kelsi Norman (11-12 girls) breaking her age group team record with a 34.65 and placing first in 50 meter breast stroke. Norman also placed in the top 5 overall in her age group.
The Stingrays piled up six wins and suffered only loss in dual meets this season.
