Student Allegedly Brings Stolen, Loaded Gun To High School In Vallejo

Police and FBI responded to the incident at John W. Finney High School.

Police in Vallejo on Wednesday arrested a 17-year-old student who allegedly brought a loaded gun to his high school.

Officers, along with agents from the FBI, responded to John W. Finney High School to investigate a report specific students were in possession of firearms on campus, police said.

Officers identified and contacted the students, and during the investigation, one of the students, a 17-year-old, fled from officers, police said.

Police said the student was seen removing a firearm from his waistband and discarding it in the presence of other students. The student was apprehended and taken into custody.

The loaded gun was reported stolen out of San Leandro, police said.
