Marcus Sachs has been playing with abstract shapes like orbs and layers. Some say her paintings suggest a spiritual inspiration, but she says she allows her art to develop on its own.”I don't necessarily know the meanings at the time,” she says. One painting in particular was inspired by a cave painting she saw while visiting her daughter in India. “I was just drawn to it,” she says. The two pillars from the cave painting are represented in Marcus Sachs' painting.
The public is invited to an opening reception Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m.
