Thousands Left Without Power In Benicia, Vallejo Outage
A PG&E power outage was affecting more than 7,700 homes and businesses Tuesday night.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A power outage was affecting thousands of customers Tuesday night in Benicia and Vallejo. PG&E reported that the outage began at 5:53 p.m. and as of 6:40 p.m. was affecting at least 7,762 residences and businesses.
The utility company has crews on scene to investigate what may have caused the massive outage.
PG&E estimated electricity may be restored to affected customers by 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. As of 9 p.m., power was back on for all but 1,052 customers.

The majority of those affected were in an area bordered by Interstate Highway 780 to the south and Interstate Highway 80 to the west.

PG&E did not immediately respond Tuesday night to a request for comment about the outage.
