Tips Lead to Arrest of 2 Mail Theft Suspects
Officers found the pair in possession of mail from several homes in the area, according to police.

Police arrested two Fairfield men earlier Sunday morning after an alert citizen reported then men acting suspicious.
Around 1 a.m., the resident called police to report the two suspicious acting men on Concord Way, according to police.
When officers arrived, they were able to locate two men matching the description given by the caller, police said.

Officers arrested Korey Smith, 30, on suspicion of petty theft, possession of stolen property, criminal conspiracy and violation of probation.

Officers also arrested Michael Anderson, 34, on suspicion of criminal conspiracy, according to police.
Police said mail theft is a common way for thieves to steal someone’s personal information.
To prevent mail theft, residents should pick up their mail daily and placing a hold on mail delivery when going out of town, police said.
