Traffic Alert: I-680 Blocked In Benicia By Metal Object
A Sig-alert was issued Thursday morning because the obstruction — possibly part of the bridge — is blocking two northbound lanes.

BENICIA, CA — With a metal object blocking lanes of northbound Interstate Highway 680 on the Benicia-Martinez bridge Thursday morning, a Sig-alert was put in place and was expected to remain in effect until as late as 4 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs.
The obstruction — possibly part of the bridge — was first reported around 6:06 a.m. Thursday in the No. 2 lane and was blocking both left lanes of I-680, CHP dispatchers wrote.
The two lanes are blocked in Solano County, just south of Interstate Highway 780, according to CHP.
