Truck Swerves Across I-780, Prompting Sig-Alert At Glen Cove Road
Westbound I-780 was blocked as a helicopter landed, CHP reported.
GLEN COVE, CA — A Sig-alert was issued at 12:49 p.m. Thursday for westbound Interstate Highway 780 at Glen Cove Road after a truck swerved across lanes and hit a tree, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was first reported at 12:05 p.m. and left a person trapped inside the truck; at 1:13 p.m. CHP reported all lanes were blocked as a helicopter was landing on the freeway.
At 1:28 p.m., CHP reported the No. 1 westbound lane had reopened.
