TX Homicide Suspect, 16, Arrested Enrolling At Solano Co. School
The felony warrant was discovered when the girl tried to enroll in Bethel High School, Vallejo police said.

VALLEJO, CA — A 16-year-old girl wanted in connection with a homicide in Texas was arrested Monday when she tried to enroll in a Solano County school. The girl was wanted by the Copperas Cove Police Department in Coryell County, Texas for the killing of a 17-year-old boy who was found dead from a gunshot wound in November 2017.
According to police, the girl's father lives in Vallejo. On Monday, he and his daughter went to Bethel High School to register but instead, the girl was arrested.
The Vallejo Police Department's involvement was complying with a court-issued arrest warrant, Vallejo police Lt. Kenny Park told Patch. The felony warrant was discovered when the girl tried to enroll in the school, he said.

"A phone call was made to the Copperas Police Department in Texas to confirm that a no-bail warrant was active in the system," Park said. "Vallejo PD officers responded to the school and arrested the juvenile and processed/booked into Solano County Juvenile Hall."
The Copperas Cove Police Department had already made two arrests in connection with the death of Larry Anthony Quinn Thomas, 17, who was fatally shot the night of Nov. 9, 2017.

Police in the Central Texas town about an hour north of Austin had responded to a call about gunfire and found Thomas suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Copperas Cove police determined the victim had been in an altercation earlier in the evening, prior to the fatal shooting. About a week later, Copperas Cove police announced that two had been made in the case. Jamiroquai Ejiawoko, 17, and Joshua Vega, 23, both of Copperas Cove, were jailed on suspicion of murder.
Arrest warrants were also issued at that time for the 16-year-old girl — whose name was not disclosed because of her status as a minor — and for 21-year-old Copperas Cove resident Andrew Sommervold.
Coincidentally, Sommervold was arrested in December in Pittsburg in Contra Costa County.
Vallejo police say the teen arrested this week will remain in Solano County custody pending her extradition to Texas.
