Unlikely Venue Provides Non-Stop Laughter
The Stone Hall Comedy Series ends on a high note with Andrew Norelli and Rocky LaPorte filling the Camel Barn to overflowing and the laughs just kept coming. .
While has been the monetary recipient of the Stone Hall Comedy Series' fabulous shows, the audiences have been treated to some of the finest comedians currently working today. Thanks to Rhonda Lucille Hicks' and generosity of many Benicians, these shows been well attended.
The third and final show, Saturday, April 30, featured Andrew Norelli, and nationally known comic, Rocky LaPorte. Both hit their marks with skill and timing, enabling the audience to take a hard look at the foibles of being human.
Norelli, who has a Masters in Sociology from U.C. Berkeley, wasted little time getting the audience on his whacky wave-length via his dead pan delivery and cultural insights. From Lady Gaga taking risks as a real estate agent to all computer geeks needing to take six months off so lowly computer users can catch up with the latest technology.

Headliner, Rocky LaPorte, the every man's man of comedy, took a more home town, "Yo, I got your comedy right here," approach. The Camel Barn also took on a somewhat celebrity aura as it provided much for the comedian to consider and discuss with the crowd.
In addition, LaPorte regaled us with tales of his Italian upbringing and his special trivia "tips," which he furnished throughout his set. It was clear that LaPorte loved to banter with the audience just as much as the folks who provided the fodder for his quick wit.
