Missing Vallejo Man With Dementia Found Safe: Fairfield Police
Police say 67-year-old Jeffrey Vanover left for a walk Sunday but doesn't know the Fairfield area.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — UPDATE: At 10:58 a.m. Monday, the Fairfield Police Department said Jeffrey Vanover, a Vallejo man reported missing Sunday from Fairfield, has been safely located.
ORIGINAL POST: The Fairfield Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a 67-year-old Vallejo man reported missing Sunday from Fairfield. Jeffrey Vanover, who suffers from dementia, was last seen at 4 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Hemlock Street in Fairfield, police said.
Vanover left around 4 p.m. to go for a walk but is unfamiliar with the area, Fairfield police said.

Vanover is 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 225 pounds, and was last seen wearing a red-and-white polo shirt and blue jeans.
Officers were actively looking Sunday for Vanover near the area where he went missing, the nearest cross streets being Travis Boulevard and Texas Street.
