Varsity Baseball Wins at Raley Field

League play is supposed to start today but the weather isn't cooperating.

The Benicia High School varsity and baseball teams traveled to Sacramento Wednesday to play at Raley Field, home of the Triple-A Sacramento Rivercats.  The Varsity boys came away with a non-conference win against Casa Roble, 4 - 2.

The hero of the game was Erick Olson who hit a double with the bases loaded in the fourth inning to give the Panthers all the runs they needed.

Willy Calhoun added an insurance run in the sixth.   Calhoun stole two bases on wild pitches and then scored on a RBI single by Matt Judd.
