On Saturday, March 12, parents and players descended on Community Park for that most American rite of Spring: Little League Opening Day.  On hand for the ceremony were politicians and a color guard from the California Maritime Academy.  The Benicia high School anther band trumpet section played the Star Spangled Banner so beautifully patriotic tears may have fallen.
