California Highway Patrol shared video of the injured couple being rescued from the dangerous encounter with a cow.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A California Highway Patrol helicopter crew came to the rescue of a couple who fell and were injured when they were chased by a cow on a local hiking trail.
It happened Monday morning at Lynch Canyon Open Space near Fairfield. When the crew with CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations H-32 found the couple, the cow and a calf were standing just feet away on the trail.
As the helicopter hovered down to the scene, the crew was able to move the cow by sounding the helicopter's siren.
