The Benicia High girls basketball team won two games at the Alhambra High School basketball tournament this past weekend.
In their first victory, the Panthers topped Petaluma 63-36. Paige Pangelinan and Adrianna Williams led Benicia with 19 points each. Nikki Andaya had 18. Pangelinan led the Panthers with 10 rebounds.
On Saturday, Benicia beat tournament host Alhambra 53-27. Pangelinan led the team with 17 points and Andaya had 14 with 10 rebounds.

The Panthers lost to Heritage on Friday 41-40. Andaya had 14 points and Williams 11.
The girls play will next play at the St. Helena tournament this weekend.

The JV girls lost both its games at the Will C. Wood tournament last weekend, falling to Armijo 46-42 and Vacaville 42-33.
