Woman Who Allegedly Ran Down Estranged Husband, 2 Friends Before Jumping To Death From Benicia Bridge ID'd

CONTRA COSTA and SOLANO COUNTIES, CA – A 60-year-old woman who allegedly intentionally ran over her estranged husband and his two friends in downtown Martinez Monday morning before jumping to her death from the Benicia-Martinez Bridge has been identified as Kimberly Goldman, according to the Contra Costa County coroner's office.

Witnesses said Goldman, a Concord resident, drove directly toward the three victims at around 10:30 a.m., as they were crossing the street at Court and Main streets, police said.

Goldman's husband had just left a hearing at the county's family law courthouse and was accompanied by two female friends when they were hit, according to police.

After driving into the three victims, who were in a crosswalk, Goldman then stopped her car and reversed into one of the three victims before speeding away, police said.

All three victims were taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, according to police.

About 20 minutes later, officers received a report that a woman had jumped from the bridge, about 2.5 miles away. Investigators suspected it was the same woman who had struck the three pedestrians, police said.

Officers from the Martinez and Benicia police departments recovered Goldman's body from underneath the bridge, along with help from the California Highway Patrol and members of the U.S. Coast Guard, according to police.
