2 Contractors Taken To Hospital After Fire At Bayer In Berkeley

BERKELY, CA — Two contractors were taken to a hospital after a fire Tuesday morning at the Bayer facility in Berkeley, according to the pharmaceutical company.

The blaze was contained within one area of a manufacturing building in the 800 block of Dwight Way, a statement from the company said. Berkeley firefighters and building sprinklers extinguished the flames and the contractors were brought to the hospital by ambulance.

The fire department is working with Bayer to determine the cause of the blaze, according to the company.
