2 Rescued After Car Goes Off Grizzly Peak Boulevard

Crews carried one up the hillside, while the other was transported by helicopter.

OAKLAND, CA - Oakland fire and East Bay Regional Parks Fire District crews and a CHP helicopter rescued two people in a car that went off the road in the Oakland Hills Sunday morning, according to a CHP officer.

The crash was reported at 11:38 a.m. after the car went off the roadway and down a hillside cliff on Grizzly Peak Boulevard near Fish Ranch Road.

Fire officials carried the vehicle passenger up and off the steep hillside, while the driver was hoisted into the helicopter and flown to Grizzly Peak Boulevard and Claremont Avenue. Once the helicopter landed, the driver was taken to a hospital.
