BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley police announced a $50,000 reward Wednesday on the 10-year anniversary of Alex Goodwin, Jr.'s shooting death.
Goodwin, 22, died on Aug. 19, 2016, after he was found unresponsive outside his family's home near Mabel and Burnett streets near San Pablo Park.
It was one of several shootings reported near the park at the time and police said it didn't appear to be a random attack.
"Ten years later, detectives continue to investigate this case and believe there are individuals who may have information that could help bring those responsible to justice," Berkeley police said in a news release Wednesday. "Even the smallest detail could prove critical to solving this case."
Anyone with information can contact the Berkeley Police Department Homicide Unit at 510-981-5741 or BPD's 24-hour non-emergency line at 510-981-5900.
