BERKELEY, CA — Two people were killed at an Oakland Hills home above UC Berkeley Friday morning, police said, according to multiple news reports.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation. No suspects have been arrested or identified, the Oakland Police Department said during a press conference Friday.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Panoramic Way sometime before 11 a.m. after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots, police said.

Responding officers found a man and woman with gunshot wounds outside a home, police said. They were identified only as a married couple who lived at a home along Panoramic Way.

The woman was 63, and the man was 61, police said.

Police say both people died from their injuries. A gun was also found at the scene, they added.

A motive behind the shooting was not disclosed. Police did not rule out the possibility of a murder-suicide.

"We're still trying to work those details out," police said. "Everything is a possibility until we can fully investigate this incident.

The UC Berkeley Police Department, meanwhile, sent out a campus-wide alert following the shooting.

"There are no known or ongoing threats to the campus," UC Berkeley police said. "If you have any information regarding this case, contact the Oakland Police Department at 510-777-3333."
