Armed Man Police Call: Two Men Taken Into Custody

Police received a call shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday.

BERKELEY, CA — Police in Berkeley responded to a report of an armed man in the 3300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way Wednesday afternoon.

Oakland police received a call about the suspect at 12:53 p.m. Officers were able to detain two suspects by setting up a perimeter around the building.

Berkeley officers searched the building and determined that there is no ongoing threat to the community, according to Berkeley police.
