Armed Robber Gets Away

The victim was not injured in the early morning robbery.

BERKELEY, CA — Campus police with the University of California at Berkeley are looking for a suspect who robbed a male victim at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

The victim was walking in the 2700 block of Ridge Road around 1 a.m. when he was approached by a male suspect with a handgun.

The suspect demanded property from the victim, who complied and was not harmed. The suspect fled on foot, heading west on Ridge Road.

Responding officers were unable to locate him, however.

The suspect is described as a male with a tan complexion, curly hair and a full beard. His race and approximate age are not known.

At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a beanie, according to police.
