A campaign has begun to reopen the 88-year-old Oaks Theater on Solano Avenue in Berkeley. The campaign's booth at the Solano Stroll received an "enthusiastic" response, said Berkeley City Councilman Laurie Capitelli, co-organizer of the effort.
