Berkeley Auto Burglary Suspect Arrested By Park Police
Police believe the suspect is responsible for at least six vehicle burglaries, plus more crimes.
BERKELEY, CA — A suspect believed to be responsible for at least five auto burglaries in Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley and one auto burglary in Dry Creek Regional Park in Union City, was arrested by the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department.
According to the police department, the suspect stole credit cards from the vehicles which were then used fraudulently to buy merchandise at large name brand stores.
"Our Detectives and Patrol Officers obtained warrants to collect evidence of the crimes," the police department said, "which ultimately led to the identification and arrest of the suspect."

To avoid auto burglaries, the Park District asks you to leave your valuables at home, lock your vehicle, and report suspicious activity to the Dispatch center at 510-881-1833.
