Berkeley Cops Chase, Arrest Armed Robber: Police
The suspect had just stolen a laptop at a business.

BERKELEY, CA — Police arrested an Oakland man who allegedly robbed a victim at a business in Berkeley on Monday.
At 12:05 p.m., an employee at a business in the 2200 block of Fulton Street called police to report that a masked suspect armed with a handgun had just robbed them of their MacBook computer, police said.
Moments later, an officer saw a masked suspect running through the parking lot of the Touchless Car Wash across the street. The suspect was trying to hide a pistol in his waistband, police said.

The officer chased after the suspect and called for backup. Officers eventually stopped the suspect in the 2100 block of Shattuck Avenue. He was identified as 20-year-old London Gix of Oakland, police said.
Police said that Gix had an airsoft pistol tucked into his waistband. He was arrested without further incident on suspicion of robbery, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and wearing a mask while in the commission of a crime, police said.
