Berkeley Issues Warning For Aquatic Park Water

Tests show elevated levels of bacteria.

BERKELEY, CA — The City of Berkeley is warning people to stay out of the water at Aquatic Park. It would probably be wise to keep your dogs out of the water, as well.

Test results on Sept. 20 show elevated levels of bacteria, prompting a Water Quality Alert.

The City of Berkeley website warns, "Water contact may cause illness. Shower and towel dry after contact. The City has increased its frequency of water sampling and is closely monitoring water quality."
