Berkeley Man Killed In East Bay Shooting
The shooting happened Sunday afternoon near Hayward

ASHLAND, CA — A 43-year-old man died at a hospital several hours after he was shot in unincorporated Alameda County near Hayward Sunday afternoon, a sheriff's spokesman said today.
Eric Allen, whose last known address was in Berkeley, was shot in the 1500 block of Mono Avenue in the Ashland District at about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to Sgt. J.D. Nelson.
Investigators haven't yet determined a motive or identified any suspects, Nelson said.
