Berkeley Student Sexually Assaulted On Campus, Police Say
Police are investigating the attack, which reportedly happened earlier this month.

BERKELEY, CA — Police in Berkeley are investigating a sexual assault that was reported earlier this month at a University of California-Berkeley campus residence.
The University of California Police Department is investigating the incident.
Police said the victim, a University of California-Berkeley student, was sexually assaulted in her residence on Jan. 6 by a suspect she had met with earlier in the day at a cafe on campus.

When the cafe closed, the victim and the suspect went to the victim's residence, and once they were at the residence, the suspect sexually assaulted the victim, police said.
The victim did not suffer any major physical injuries during the assault.
