Big Weekend for Panther Sports

As seniors get ready to graduate, Panther Baseball and Track & Field head to championships.

Saint Mary’s Class of 2015 is getting ready to graduate this Sunday, joined by the Class of 1965 celebrating their fifty-year reunion. Some seniors will be busy before commencement, shooting for championships in Baseball and Track & Field.

After defeating Moreau Catholic of Hayward 8-3 in the Baseball semifinals on June 2, the Panthers are heading back to the championship game for the fourth year in a row! Saint Mary’s will play fellow Lasallian school, Justin-Siena of Napa in the NCS Division IV Baseball Championship game this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Diablo Valley College. NCS ticket prices are $10 for adults and $7 for senior citizens and students with school i.d.

A big “Hurrah!” to Panther Track & Field, heading out this afternoon to the State Meet in Clovis. Friday and Saturday contests will include the girls’ team who captured the NCS Northern California Meet of Champions title at Edwards Stadium, Cal Berkeley, this past Saturday, standout senior Triple Jumper Ron Smith, Ma’ane Mosely who has the fourth farthest jump heading into State, the girls’ 4 x 400 team who blew away the school record and established themselves as the fastest team in California, the boys’ 4x100 team, and much more! Go, Panthers!
