Three Men Injured Friday Night in Drive-by Shooting - Unclear if it's Gang-Related

Five men targeted in the shooting, three were injured.

Three men were shot in a drive-by as they played dice at about 6:30 p.m. last night on the 2200 block of Bonar Street near Bancroft Way, according to KGO. It’s unclear whether the shooting was gang related.

A witnesses said that a vehicle “pulled up in front of the building and sprayed gunfire at the crowd,” according to the Oakland Tribune.

Neighbor Emily Owens heard the shots from inside her apartment, according to KGO. They reported Owens as saying, "We heard like eight shots, and we all ducked and ran into the hallway."

Resident Todd Walker says the shooting is the result of too much time and too many guns. "We got to find out where these guns are coming from and get these guns off the street," Walker said.
