Hana Japan (hana: “flower”) specializes in teppanyaki (teppan: “metal grill”, yaki: “to grill”), a style of Japanese cuisine. We're proud to be serving the Bay Area since 1979, at our locations in Dublin and Berkeley Marina, California.

Chef Yoon, the founder and award-winning force behind Hana Japan for over 45 years, took an unconventional path to Teppanyaki mastery. An immigrant with a background in fine dining, Chef Yoon discovered his true passion in the sizzling world of steak.

Driven by a focus on high-quality ingredients, and a passion to create a place where the community comes together, Chef Yoon envisioned Hana Japan as an establishment where families could gather and connect over memorable experiences.
