This month we're turning to a writer who's spent a lifetime finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. Our latest selection, Still Life at Eighty: The Next Interesting Thing, is Abigail Thomas's funny, tender, and clear-eyed collection of vignettes on what it means to grow older—no more driving, no more dancing, mostly a comfortable chair in a sunny corner with three dogs for company.
