The internationally renowned Telegraph Quartet returns to the Berkeley Chamber Performances stage this October to launch its 34th season - an acclaimed Bay Area ensemble whose artistry has graced Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Philharmonie de Paris. Winners of the Naumburg Chamber Music Award and the Fischoff Grand Prize, the four ensemble members - two violins, viola, and cello - are known for the precision and fire they bring to the stage.
Their program celebrates three emotionally gripping composers spanning two centuries of musical brilliance: Mendelssohn's radiant elegance, Shostakovich's searing emotional depth, and Korngold's gloriously Romantic splendor.
