The Compound Gallery is delighted to present Good Old Days, new ceramic works by Ben Belknap. The show opens with a reception on Saturday, November 7th from 6 to 9pm and runs from 12 to 6pm from Thursdays through Sundays until December 13th.
Belknap's small scale, richly glazed ceramic sculptures pull on the nostalgic heart strings of days gone by. Getting lost in stack of books, sitting by the fireplace, or putting on a record, the works evoke simple solitary pleasures. Belknap has a deep understanding of ceramics and glazes, including many he personally developed. This show invites viewers to join Belknap in secluded spaces and realize the way the present moment will eventually become a memory.
