Cancer Center Opens In Berkeley

UCSF Health and John Muir Health have added cancer services to Berkeley Outpatient Center.

BERKELEY, CA — UCSF Health and John Muir Health opened The Cancer Center in Berkeley on Feb. 3, at 3100 San Pablo Ave. Appointments are available Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“Adding cancer services to the wide range of specialties that we are able to offer reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of our patients in one location, close to home,” said Dr. Caroline Schreiber, a family medicine physician and medical director of the Berkeley Outpatient Center. “Having primary care and specialist physicians together in our Outpatient Center enhances collaboration, knowledge sharing and care coordination, so patients receive the best possible care and expertise from UCSF and John Muir Health.”

The cancer specialists will provide a full range of clinical care, including treatment for both newly diagnosed and metastatic cancer patients, and breast surgeons will be available for evaluations and discussions of treatment options, including minimally invasive techniques.
