City Of Berkeley: Driver Arrested For Dui And Carrying A Loaded Handgun
After administering Field Sobriety Tests, the driver was arrested for Driving under the Influence and carrying a loaded/concealed firearm.

Berkeley, California (Tuesday, September 28, 2021) - On September 26th at 1:36 am, an officer spotted a vehicle speeding west on University Avenue—swerving in and out of lanes without regard for other vehicles or pedestrians in the area. When the officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, the officer suspected that the driver may have been under the influence alcohol. When the driver stepped out of the vehicle for a sobriety check, the officer found a loaded non-serialized handgun (AKA Ghost gun) concealed in the driver’s waistband. After administering Field Sobriety Tests, the driver (a 28-year-old Oakland man) was arrested for Driving under the Influence and carrying a loaded/concealed firearm.
