City Of Berkeley: Fatal Collision In The Berkeley Marina

Berkeley, California (Thursday, November 04, 2021) - On November 3rd at about 7:43 pm, emergency personnel responded to the Berkeley Marina after receiving a report of a collision which left a vehicle submerged and its sole occupant deceased.

It was reported to BPD by witnesses that a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed west bound on University Ave left the roadway after striking several fixed objects and crashed into the water west of the Marina Boulevard intersection.

Because of the severity of the collision, the Department’s Fatal Accident Investigation Team is handling the on-going investigation.
