City Of Berkeley: Oversize Commercial Vehicle Enforcement

Berkeley, California (Tuesday, September 07, 2021) - On the morning of September 8th, members of the Berkeley Police Department and the California Highway Patrol will be conducting enforcement in the area of Cedar Street and Milvia Avenue—focusing on oversized commercial vehicles failing to obey the City’s weight limitations on Milvia Street.

This enforcement is being conducted as a result of complaints from the community as well as to protect our roadways from the potential damage that can be done from oversized commercial vehicles on residential roadways.
Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
