Closed For Years, A Popular Vegan Cinnamon Roll Shop Is Back In Berkeley: Report
The Berkeley flagship store closed in 2023 after the building it was located in was bought, according to a report from East Bay's Nosh.
BERKELEY, CA — Nearly three years after shuttering its doors, a popular vegan bakery is back where it all started: Berkeley, according to a report from East Bay Nosh.
Cinnaholic became an instant hit when it first opened in Berkeley in 2010, according to the report, and soon enough expanded across the Bay Area.
But by 2023, with the pandemic and the sale of the building where the flagship store was located, Cinnaholic was no more in the Bay Area, according to the report.

Shannon Zamfirescu, who tried the vegan cinnamon rolls when she moved to the Bay Area in 2021, decided it was time to bring the popular brand back to Berkeley, according to the report.
The shop officially opened on Friday, April 3, along Hearst Avenue near UC Berkeley.

It offers a variety of frosted gourmet plant-based cinnamon rolls, including a strawberry fields roll topped with marshmallows, fresh strawberries, jam and powdered sugar.
There are also cookie dough shots and a DIY toppings bar.
