Deadline Monday, Berkeley, To Register To Vote
If you want to cast a ballot in the June election, the deadline is almost here.

CALIFORNIA — The voter registration deadline for California's upcoming June 5 primary election is coming up on Monday, May 21.
Any resident seeking to cast a ballot next month must be a United States citizen who will be 18 or older on Election Day, although pre-registration is available for 16 and 17 year olds.
Would-be voters cannot currently be in state or federal prison, or on parole, for a felony conviction, nor can they currently be found to be mentally incompetent to vote by a court.

Voter registration can be completed by visiting the Department of Motor Vehicles, or by going online.
Voters will need their California driver's license or California identification card number as well as the last four digits of their social security number in order to register.
