BERKELEY, CA — The California Highway Patrol is reporting a fatal collision involving a pedestrian occurred Friday morning on westbound Interstate Highway 80 in Berkeley.
The collision was first reported at 2:50 a.m. at the University Avenue off-ramp, according to the CHP.
All westbound lanes of the highway were briefly blocked just east of University Avenue, and the CHP issued a Sig-alert due to the collision.

The roadway was cleared around 4:15 a.m.
