  • sense of confidence
  • overall well-being?

For more than a decade, international educator, author and speaker Rita Marie Johnson has been teaching children and adults how to live rich, productive and more connected lives with less conflict and greater access to their best intelligence.

On May 17, come to the Harmony Center for the Joyful Spirit to hear Rita Marie share the BePeace Practice, a powerful skill that unites heart and brain, empathy and insight, and your inner life with the outer world. Rita Marie founded the BePeace Practice in 2004 while living in Costa Rica. Since then it has been taught to over 1,500 teachers, benefiting more than 40,000 students. Now, more than 100 certified coaches and trainers are bringing the practice to faith-based communities, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and individuals throughout the United States and six other countries.

The BePeace Practice, which is branded as the Connection Practice for presentation in nonsecular settings, focuses on developing skills that lead to social-emotional intelligence. Unlike IQ, social-emotional intelligence can be learned; it determines how well you manage your emotions and the quality of your interactions with others.

Johnson is founder and CEO of Rasur Foundation International (www.rasurinternational.org), a Dallas-based nonprofit that sponsors the Connection Practice.
