Today, there are more than 1.5 million Lesbian, Gay Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT)-owned small businesses in the United States. In California, the number of LGBT businesses is growing. Oakland, which is already one of the nation's most integrated cities ranks third for gay and lesbian households combined, behind San Francisco and Seattle, according to census data. Learn about the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) certification program successes and Golden Gate Business Association (GGBA), which represents the San Francisco/Bay Area’s LGBT business community.
